Join DAMA Iowa with our host DAMA Minnesota and speakers Glenda Crisp, Aileen Schultz and Carter Cousineau.
The regulatory environment for managing the ethical use of data and AI is maturing. Organizations are under increasing pressure to adopt standards and best practices to comply. This includes the discovery and adoption of new ways of working, such as processes, tools and techniques for technical implementation and building successful compliance strategies. In this workshop we will look at emerging trends in data and AI ethics and some of the challenges organizations are facing with adoption. We will host break out rooms where we will discuss key issues and explore mitigation strategies in smaller groups

Glenda Crisp is the Head of Data & Analytics for Thomson Reuters, having been appointed to the position on 3 May 2021. She is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise data and analytics strategy focused on delivering high-impact commercial outcomes.
Glenda holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and a B. Comm from University of Alberta. She is based in Toronto, Ontario.
Aileen Schultz is an award-winning innovator with a comprehensive career supporting the adoption of emerging technologies, such as blockchain and newer applications of AI. She has built research and communities to support the advancement of governance models for the ethical use of these technologies, bringing dozens of organizations together in support of this agenda, across government, academia, technology, and the legal sector, in over twenty-five countries spanning six continents. She is Director, Data and Model Ethics and Policy at Thomson Reuters.
Carter Cousineau is the Vice President, Data and Model Governance at Thomson Reuters. She was formerly the Managing Director of the Center for Advancing Responsible and Ethical Artificial Intelligence at the University of Guelph. he is known for her relationship management expertise and is a public speaker in the areas of innovation, leadership and strategic development of technologies.
